Blog Hop #15 Stitching When Sick

Stitching the Night Away Stitching Bloggers Blog Hop

It's hard to believe it's time for another blog hop.  Actually it's hard to believe it's almost the middle of February.  Where has the time gone?  Anyway this is a great subject and I'm interested to read what others have to say about it.

Eventually there comes a time when you’re not feeling well, whether it’s the flu or a cold or something else entirely. The question is, do you manage any stitching when you’re under the weather or does it just have to wait for better days?

I guess the answer would depend on just how sick I am.  If my allergies are bothering me or I have a little cold, then I usually will feel up to knitting or something that I can do without thinking about it.  An easy counted cross stitch project will also fit the bill.  But if it's major, then, no, I don't feel like doing anything except maybe reading or watching a little TV.  In September 2011 I came down with Valley Fever, a fungal infection found only here in the desert southwest.  Frankly I was so sick I didn't even feel like watching TV.  I just sat in my recliner and stared at the walls.  It took approximately a year to fully recover and I'm only just now getting my stitching mojo back.  So if it's something minor, I just suck it up and stitch.  If it's major, no way.  My entire focus would be getting my health back.
