I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I would do a much better job of keeping up with my blog this year. Well, I was doing well until this month. Somehow with the kids visiting and working I find it's June 29 and I haven't blogged once this month. So I thought I'd better get this going again or I'll miss June all together. Here's an update on the wonderful design I had started earlier.

As you can see, I've made quite a bit of progress on this one. I've decided to do the backstitching as I go simply to give the little critters their personality. I love backstitching and don't mind if I wait till the end to stitch it but I did want to see these little guys come alive as I stitch. I want to get as much done as possible because this one is waiting in the wings.

This is the wedding sampler I'm going to stitch for my daughter. She picked it out and I promised her I would have it done by her wedding. I would have started it already but I'm waiting for the fabric and the rest of the thread to come in. I'm stitching it in the colors it calls for (I offered to change the colors to her wedding colors, coral and mint but she preferred the original colors) on (hopefully) 25 count white/opalescent lugana over one. I think it will be a more manageable size and thus less expensive to frame. I'll be extending the border and adding their names and the date and maybe the location. I'll be concentrating all my time on this one so as to have it finished by the wedding. Wish me luck!
