I thought it was about time that I posted a picture of my work in progress, Cirque des Circles. I'm having more fun with this design than I've had in a long time. I'm stitching it on 25 count lugana over one with one strand of Northern Lights silk thread. The color of the fabric is Victorian Christmas Green and the color of the thread is Palomino. It's peach and white. I thought it would be more varigated with more shading but it's just peach and white. Sometimes it's frustrating to try and keep from having a striped effect but I guess that's part of the fun. I am pleased with the way it's turning out. It's also a design that I can see stitching more than once. I've already pulled several more color combinations for it at work. I just wish I could find more time to finish it. That seems to be a major theme in my life: not enough time. Then when I do stitch on it, I see Gabe staring at me and I feel guilty for not finishing him. Maybe I see what it would cost to have Ghost Stitchers finish it for me. It would be well worth it to pay to have someone else stitch him.

It's simply gorgeous Bette, keep enjoying this one! Don't worry about the one that is waiting, it'll wait as long as it takes until you really feel like working on it again. You know these large pieces can be purchased really cheap on ebay if all you wanted was the finished product (I do that sometimes). But if it is the stitching of it that you love, just wait until you really feel like stitching on it again.
Thanks, Teejay, for those encouraging words. I guess I wouldn't feel so badly about it if my friend wasn't waiting so patiently for it and had already paid me for it in advance. I kept refusing the payment but I found it in my desk, in my purse, well, you get the picture.
Hi Bette! Just discovered your blog! Love the wip! I have this on my "gotta have it" list. What other color combos do you have picked out? I am in the same boat as you... too many projects, not enough time & I keep starting more... sigh....

Hi, Miokka. Thank you for you nice comment about CDC. I just discovered that Ink Circles has a new one available tomorrow called...Cirque des Triangles. So the polar bear will just have to wait. Let's see, I have a gorgeous red Belfast linen with a rose overdyed silk and a bright blue Belfast that will have a blueberry overdyed with it. I don't have the colors in front of me right now. I'll take pictures later and post them.
