Well, I came to a decision about the fabric I'm going to use in my Prairie Schooler, I'm stitching for the SAL. Here were my choices:
|
Floss Toss 26 count Heatherfield |
|
Floss Toss 14 count Linaida |
I've decided to go with the Linaida. I really like the Heatherfield but I'm afraid the darker browns won't show up as well on it. So the Linaida it is. Of course, I do reserve the right to change my mind before I start.
Oh and just a heads up. Nancy over at the Victorian Motto is having a give-away on her blog,
Victorian Mottos Sampler Shoppe. Hop on over and see what she is offering.

I love the Linaida, Bette, and agree that the floss will look perfect upon it...however I also agree that the right to change ones mind at any time before a WIP becomes a finish is the stitchers right...it even says so in the stitcher's bill of rights...LOL
I can't wait to see it all progress.
Hugs
Looks good Bette. I have that same PS chart along with a whole lot of others. I was surprised too to learn they are retiring but can't blame them. They've been a constant in the stitching world for as long as I've been stitching I think! I have so many of their charts that I've never stitched...I have all the annual Santas and only stitched 2 over 25 yrs ago before I got married! I do think they were getting a bit repetitive in their stitching designs but I faithfully would pick up a few more charts every year. Have fun with your SAL.
